We're Off and Reading!
My name is Ellen Reusch. I am the new librarian at the Howe-Manning. Library classes have begun and the library is abuzz with activity. Staff and students have checked-out an astounding 173 books in just the first two days of school! Wow! We are definitely off and reading!
In the next couple weeks, our primary focus will be on establishing library routines, learning library etiquette, and understanding the basic layout of the library. We will also be completing a reading inventory so that I may better understand the students’ reading attitudes and interests.
I am thrilled to be working in such a beautiful new library and am looking forward to working with all members of the school community.
