Flint Public Library Community Read Program


This week, the Howe-Manning Elementary School welcomed Melissa Gaspar, Director of the Flint Public Library, to talk to students about the Middleton Community Read Program.  The Flint Public Library is sponsoring a town-wide community reading event to celebrate Middleton's agricultural heritage.  The whole town can participate by reading books about food,  farms, and dairy farming.  Visit the Flint Public Library website for more information on the many scheduled events surrounding this community-building program.


Lisa Rundquist, Children's Librarian at the Flint Public Library, compiled a list of great fiction and nonfiction books about farming for students in Grades 3-6. Titles may be checked out at the school or public library.
